Welder / Fabricator £12.25 per hour plus overtime Coventry

THE ROLE

The Welder / Fabricator will work on specialised plant / equipment and responsibilities will include:

• ensuring quality standards / procedures of manufactured plant / equipment
• assisting in design by informing Foreman of incorrect / faulty drawings
• assisting Foreman with matters arising from fabrication / welding of plant
• issuing correct materials for manufacture
• adhering to H&S requirements and keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
• occasionally assisting colleagues using the brake press / guillotine etc.

Our client, part of a larger Group, is a leading manufacturer of high quality process equipment for the Aerospace and Automotive sectors and carries out turnkey projects on a worldwide basis.

THE PERSON

With qualifications in fabrication and welding the ideal Welder / Fabricator will have experience in a specialist team production environment and be comfortable reading and working from detailed drawings to produce one off fabrications using mild / stainless steel 1mm - 10mm thick. You will have experience with guillotine / brake press / Mig / Tig welding processes - current or previous coded welding a distinct advantage (BS EN 9606-1). Also useful would be crane and lifting skills.

Working hours: 7.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday - Thursday, Friday 7.30 am - 2.45 pm finish. Overtime will be required (at premium rates) along with some site work. Benefits include life assurance, company pension scheme and 33 days holiday (including 8 statutory). Flexibility regarding working hours / weekend overtime is available.
