Rainbow International requires Fire & Flood Technicians (2 posts available)

The successful Applicants must be BDMA qualified or have relevant experience in a Fire and Flood Restoration company.  Applicants must also be articulate, presentable and able to manage stressful situations and also pass a DBS (CRB) check. Full driving licence is essential.  Company van, pension scheme, training and a uniform will be provided. It is a condition of employment that applicants without the BDMA qualification must pass the exams within 6 months of starting employment with us. There will be opportunities for further advancement and training within the company for motivated, hard-working individuals.

Purpose of job:

To act as first responder to fire, flood and accidental damage claims for Insurance, Commercial and Domestic customers to mitigate losses and return contents and properties to pre-incident condition throughout the south of England. To provide the service throughout the area 24/7 and as such be available for weekend and out of hours call outs without limitation on a rota basis. To pack and store furniture and general contents for offsite assessment and restoration.

Specific Duties:

The successful applicants will be working in properties mainly throughout central southern  England and also working from our warehouse in Eastleigh and carrying out specialist restoration, cleaning and deodorisation of buildings and contents. Other work includes floor preparation, wood floor sanding, grit blasting and packing and storing of damaged items. Use of IT systems to perform on site videos of damage in premises to aid insurers in agreeing settlements and your restoration remedy.

Liaison with policyholders and insurance customers and maintaining safe working conditions outside and in workshop, and at all times practising Health and Safety procedures making others aware of any potential dangers of their or others actions.

Minimum requirements:

Full UK driving licence

Right to work in UK

DBS pass

Able to lift and move heavy furniture

IT literate

BDMA or equivalent experience
