The Role:

A vacancy has arisen within the Transport department. This is an ideal opportunity for a customer focussed individual who wants to work for a small fleet operator within a successful growing business. Providing the best possible quality service to their customers is their common goal.

The position will involve making deliveries of chemicals throughout the UK predominantly to Industrial laundries and Concrete plants. These will be a combination of bulk deliveries from Ibcs using on board pumping equipment or standard pallet deliveries using vehicle mounted forklift trucks.

Main Duties

• Safe delivery of our company products (Non -Haz , Class 8, class 5.1 and class 9 )
• Organise routes to meet agreed delivery times
• Effective communication with both colleagues & customers
• Assist customers when required
• Ensure Legal compliance

Essential Criteria

• HGV Class 1 or 2 Licence ( C+E , C )
• Driver CPC
• Full ADR Licence
• Digital Tachograph holder
• Position involves overnights - up to 4 nights out per week
• Flexibility to work weekends when required
• Ability to work in a well-established team
• Customer focussed
• Effective communicator
• Has the ability to remain calm, tactful and diplomatic under pressure
• Has the ability to build relationships with customers
• Thoroughly organised

Desirable Criteria

• Mounted Forklift Truck Licence ( Palfinger / Moffat ) - Training will be provided
• Counterbalance and Reach FLT Licence - Training may be provided
• Previous experience of bulk deliveries & pumping equipment
