Due to their increased demand for support, we are now looking to recruit a passionate and talented Support Coordinator/Support Assistant.
THE ROLE: Support Coordinator/Support Assistant
This exciting opportunity will consist of a duel role between the two position. You will be responsible for ensuring student support runs efficiently and to a high standard. Leading the coordination and delivery of academic support and personal support provision within Newcastle.
This work will be in line with the companies Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) guillotines and be involved in interviewing, training and supervision of the support team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the student support runs smoothly and efficiently
- Contacting, meeting with students and creating support plans
- Managing The Learning Support Centre's booking/rota system
- Coordinate/deliver and support staff training days, including arranging training venue and catering
- Carry out one-to-one supervision meetings in term 1 with the support team and report findings to the Account Manager
- Writing and delivering reports for senior management, which may include reports on staff performance, service development, feedback and quality assurance
Key experience essential for this Support Coordinator/Support Assistant role:
- Educated to degree level
- Previous experience within a social care background
- Experience of supporting people with disabilities
- Excellent administrative skills
- To hold or be willing to work towards a NVQ Level 2 in Social Care
- Able to commute to Newcastle
