Accounts Assistant

Focused on providing a first class service to companies and personal clients, the professional team of over 35 personnel working from two North Wales based offices, have gained the business an enviable reputation with a well-established and ever growing client base.

Working as part of a highly experienced professional team, as an Accounts Assistant you will take a proactive and organised approach to supporting the team, with varied responsibilities and duties to include, although not be limited to;

  • Preparing accounts
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Processing VAT returns
  • Creating journal entries
  • Maintaining data on Excel spreadsheets
  • Maintaining good working relationships both internally and externally
  • Supporting colleagues with tasks as part of a flexible accounts team

To be considered for this Accounts Assistant role you will have the following skills, experience and knowledge;

  • Either A-Level standard or studying for AAT or similar professional qualification, or have proven experience within a similar role
  • Excellent numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Accurate and timely data entry skills
  • IT literacy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A positive and “can do” approach to work and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
  • Superb communication skills both written and verbal

Experience within a practice environment would be advantageous, although not essential.

Salary:                          Attractive, level dependent on experience. Plus monthly company performance based bonus

Other Benefits:              Study support and funding potentially available to complete an accountancy qualification, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a generous non-contributory pension scheme after three months.

Hours of Work:             9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Contracted Hours:         37 hours per week
