Part Time Fixed Term Contract – 18.5 hours per week until 31st March 2018

An exciting opportunity is available working with our client. The External Funding team are in the process of expanding their contract portfolio, maximising opportunities across Yorkshire and Humber to secure funding from the European Structural and Investment Fund. 

To support the ongoing successful delivery of the External Funding provision they are currently looking to recruit a part time Work Based Trainer in Logistics. This is a home based position covering Knowsley, St Helens, Sefton and Liverpool where you will work 18.5 hours per week.

This role is dependent upon securing successful funding from the European Structural and Investment Fund.  The post will be offered on a fixed term basis, and is anticipated to be for 18 months’ duration but this will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.  This role will appeal to candidates who enjoy working in a rapidly changing sector and who enjoy being able to help shape the growth of a company.

Working closely with the team leaders to plan learning needs and deliver training in line with the ESF contract, you will identify and adapt differing learnings styles, ensuring contact with all project participants is made prior to their attendance and delivering an individualized IAG plan in advance of the relevant course. The role involves you covering Tier 2 Skills Support for the Workforce Delivery, delivering programmes mainly from our Logistics Gateway which have already been established.

Developing high quality provision to meet the needs of participants whilst improving and developing logistics training courses and materials (i.e. schemes of work, structured lesson planning) as required, you will deliver sector specific programmes that have minimal impact on the businesses we are supporting. Ensuring regular learner reviews are completed and documented on individual learning plans on a 1-2-1 basis as required by the SSW delivery plan, you will meet all necessary requirements of awarding bodies for accredited provision and carry out internal verification and assessments were appropriate.

Ideally educated to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a Logistics related field and with GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, you will possess an appropriate training qualification (CTP). With recent and relevant experience in a similar role and a level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), you will have experience of working in a fast paced environment, and have excellent organisational and communication skills.
