A Stockport Primary school are looking to engage the skills of caring Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 6 who has Autism. The school is 1.5 form entry and caters for children aged 3-11. The staff are hard-working and aim to create the best learning environment for all their pupils. As a one to one Teaching Assistant you will ensure that all learning plans are implemented and updated with the class teacher.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience of working with children in an educational setting.
  • Have some experience of working with children with autism/behavioural difficulties.
  • Be positive, flexible and dynamic.
  • Have the ability to form relationships and communicate effectively with children.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a child with Autism in Year 6 to further their development and understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Feeding back on child's performance to class teacher, SENCO and parents.
  • Liaising with outside agencies.
  • Promoting equal opportunities.
