Has your experience of working in the community given you an understanding of poor mental health and how it affects individuals, families and communities? Would you like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with? Then join us as a support time & recovery worker.

Recovery Focus is a new group of expert charities with the shared aim to inspire individual recovery nationwide. Between us we have a track record of more than 200 years of developing and running personalised services that work with people with mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions. Each partner organisation has its own rich history of success, but together we believe we can lead the way in evidence-based recovery pathways that we can tailor to meet local and individual needs.

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for a support time & recovery worker to join the team at the Chorley and South Ribble Community Restart Service. A modern, forward thinking service that has co-production with the people we support at its heart, the service is dedicated to improving quality of life, promoting opportunities and improving the outcome for people across Lancashire. But, it’s only possible with the help of people like you.

Your challenge? To support individual recovery by social inclusion in local communities, develop opportunities in all domains of life and enable clients to access mainstream and specialist services that support and enable mental health and wellbeing. Helping them to develop peer support networks and links to the community will be important too. And, when it comes to liaising with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, again, we’ll rely on you. Assessing needs, developing recovery focused support plans, offering advice, guidance, role modelling and practical assistance and developing a rapport based on hope and aspirations – all are aspects of this rewarding part-time role.

To succeed, you’ll need a relevant background that possibly includes experience of services supporting mainstream or specialist mental health as a worker, carer or service user or identifying and co-ordinating mental health services to meet individual needs. An effective communicator at all levels, you know how to deal with sensitive and complex issues and have lots of emotional resilience. What’s more, you’re as happy motivating and engaging clients in a range of activities as you are keeping accurate records and love making the most of your transferable life skills to help others thrive.

In return, you can expect some great benefits, including 25 days' holiday, contributory pension scheme, employee assistance programme and childcare vouchers, plus exceptional professional development and training opportunities.

So, get inspired today. Visit our website and take the first steps towards a more fulfilling career.
