Job Title: Head of Digital Marketing

Location: East Midlands Airport

Salary: Competitive

Our client operates an all-jet fleet. The airline now operates more than 300 scheduled flights a week across a network of 22 destinations in 10 European countries and employs more than 400 staff. They have held the title of the UK's most punctual airline for the past nine out of 10 years. The airline also operates an extensive ad hoc charter business and flies on a contract basis on behalf of other carriers.

They are now looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to join their team based at East Midlands Airport.

Job Role:

The purpose of this role is to devise and deliver a strategy for the continual increase of digital traffic and revenues, managing all digital marketing activities including user experience. This position is of key importance to drive the revenue position of the airline and is responsible for delivering to revenue KPIs.

  • Create and deliver annual digital marketing plan to cover all markets and segments, including social media, email, PPC, display and affiliate campaigns, providing detailed briefings to marketing team for required artwork and ensuring at all times that digital and general marketing plans are aligned
  • Develop and deliver conversion strategy, working with the IT team to improve user experience on internet booking engine and corporate site
  • Be aware at all times of emerging trends and best practices
  • Be an internal champion for digital transformation
  • Analyse all campaigns, reviewing ROI and trends to direct future activities, working with the IT team to improve analytics platform and increase learnings
  • Full control of annual digital marketing budget
  • Work with Head of Customer Engagement to continually identify, review and deliver new products and services to the company's Customers
  • Work with Head of Marketing to continually improve ROI from email campaigns
  • Work with Head of Customer Engagement to develop strategy and delivery of the company's Customer Database, evolving database segmentation and communications strategy as more detailed data becomes available
  • Identify, review and deliver retail products and partner marketing opportunities
  • Be a strong team player able to work in cross departmental teams to facilitate change
  • Understanding travel/airline industry is an asset; understanding how to work in an SME environment a must

The Candidate:

  • A level or equivalent education
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Agency and external supplier management experience
