EDUCATION OFFICER
RIVINGTON TERRACED GARDENS
Based in Wigan with frequent travel to the Rivington area.
18 hours per week
Project funded for 3 years
Salary £16,867 - £20,049 (pro rata)
Primary Purpose of the job:
To co-ordinate and deliver an exciting, creative and engaging education strategy, delivering events, training and interpretation of the Rivington Terraced Gardens Heritage Lottery project. To work with the project team to develop events and activities that widens the projects audience and communicates and interprets the sites diverse heritage.
The post holder will have experience of working with schools and local communities to deliver education activities and events and an ability to communicate and motivate local people and community groups into taking positive action to improve their local environment.
Experience of working in heritage sensitive locations will be advantageous.
