Senior Development Chemist

The CILBOND division of Kommerling UK requires an experienced Senior Development Chemist.

Kommerling UK is part of the European Kommerling Group of companies, headquartered in Pirmasens, Germany. The Kommerling companies are in turn subsidiaries of the American Royal Adhesives and Sealants Group with worldwide revenues in excess of $ 600 million.

The CILBOND operations are based near Preston/UK where they manufacture bonding agents to promote the adhesion of rubbers to metals. Bonding agents are used in the engineering industry and CILBOND products are widely used around the world.

As a Senior Development Chemist you will formulate adhesives and bonding agents in close liaison with the company’s R&D teams in Bamber Bridge and Germany.

Ideally we are looking for a person with a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering who can demonstrate experience working at a senior level in the polymer or coatings industry.

This is a highly responsible role which involves close contact with customers and suppliers as well as members of our marketing and R&D personnel internationally. You should enjoy working and travelling in an international environment and playing a leading role in a network of cross functional teams.
