NEA, the national energy efficiency and fuel poverty charity, is currently recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated IT Co-ordinator to assist the charity to deliver innovative projects to tackle fuel poverty. Working in partnership with central and local government, fuel utilities, the health sector, consumer groups and NGOs, NEA aims to eradicate fuel poverty and promote energy efficiency to low-income and other vulnerable households.
The post will be based in NEA’s Head Office in Newcastle and their role will be to assist staff across the organisation to get the best out of NEA’s IT facilities. The post holder will need to be an experienced and high level user of Microsoft products including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe In-Design and Photoshop, and have the ability to communicate and educate staff in their use. The post holder will also be expected to develop and encourage staff to use the existing systems (including the use of SharePoint and the development of databases using Access) as well as provide advice and support to the Business Support Manager on asset management, backup and recovery strategies and ensure appropriate policies on security and Data Protection are embraced across NEA. Although technical expertise is relevant and an ability to troubleshoot minor hardware and software problems is essential, this post focuses on the staff and the internal development of the system and operational practices rather than the day-to-day maintenance of the network and hardware which is undertaken by an outside agency.
Full details about this post and an application form are available on the NEA website by the “Apply” button on this page.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 30 September 2016.
Successful applicants will be informed of the interview date.
NEA does not accept CVs. No agency or recruitment enquiries please.
NEA aims to be an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all people who have the necessary skills and experience for the post.
