A prestigious and highly acclaimed college located in the centre of Oxford, is looking for a Student Administrator Office. You will be required to understand and deliver all elements of staff recruitment, HR support during employment, end of contract processes and problem solving for individual members of staff.

Duties

* Updating and maintain accurate personnel records on the system.
* Calculating annual leave entitlements and issue members of staff with their annual leave forms each year.
* Liaising with the Bursar and relevant members of staff to produce timetables for all aspects of the recruitment process for individual posts.
* Ensuring advertisements, job descriptions and further particulars are placed on internal and external websites and forwarded to the relevant mailing lists in time to meet recruitment deadlines.
* Organising all aspects of the short-listing and interview process. They will circulate applications, send out rejection letters, invite candidates to interview, request references, book rooms and refreshments, prepare tests for the candidates and make provision of any special requirements.
* Dealing with all recruitment enquiries, in person, by telephone and by e-mail

In addition to these HR duties and responsibilities, the Student Administrator Office has a prominent role in terms of the smooth running and management of the College. You will be the secretary to the following committees: Executive Committee, Equality and Welfare Committee, Sports Committee, Wine Committee and IT Working Group.

- You will be required to write minutes and agendas for these meetings and distribute them to committee members.
- You will be responsible for the different mailing lists for these committees and will be required to keep them up to date.
- You will have to produce termly calendars for St Cross, make sure they are uploaded onto the College's website and circulate them to Members of College.

Essential

- Experience of, or a demonstrable strong capacity for, Human Resources work.
- The ability to understand and advise on Human Resources issues and to contribute to policy discussions and decisions.
- Effective interpersonal skills at all levels
- The ability to organise, prioritise and complete a wide variety of tasks, often with tight deadlines and under pressure.
- A high level of initiative, with a pro-active attitude and the ability to work without close supervision.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, especially in presenting written information.
- Excellent IT skills

Desirable

- Experience in a University or similar environment
- Experience of the University's HRIS system or other HR software
