Due to continued expansion, this globally known and respected manufacturer has an exciting new opportunity for a talented and experienced Process Improvement Project Specialist to join their business.
The role will act as the main project lead for the Operational Excellence team, leading projects that are selected via the Executive team based on priority and benefits to the organisation. The role will be responsible for coaching the identified project leaders around site, ensuring that a consistent DMAIC approach is being applied as well as driving the Continuous Improvement Culture within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross functional DMAIC-based projects to tackle Quality, Cost, Delivery and Inventory across Operations and Non Operations.
- Coach and develop A3 project leads across the business
- Assist the Learning & Development department by coaching project leads the DMAIC approach/ roadmap and six sigma Green belt tools
- Enforce standard DMAIC roadmap for all projects undertaken by project group
- Complete 6-8 projects/ year delivering min. £250k/ year in cost benefit
- Work with finance department to verify the cost benefit of projects to ensure benefit realisation captured and tracked
Requirements:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate all the requirements on their CV in order to be considered:
- Demonstrable record of coaching and influencing within a Continuous Improvement Culture is vital.
- A working knowledge of project management disciplines is essential.
- Experience of statistical analysis is essential.
- Experience of completing problem solving to root cause level is essential
- Previous experience of working in an improvement role is essential.
- Six Sigma green belt qualification is desirable.
- Strong PC skills - MS office (essential), Minitab, MS project, Visio (desirable though not essential)
