Reporting to the Corporate Director of Resident Services, as the Head of Resident Services you’ll have overall accountability for meeting compliance obligations, and take responsibility for services provided to the general needs and older person's residents, tenants and customers. This includes services delivered through the Community Safety Team, Welfare and Tenancy Support Team, Customer Contact Centre, Housing Teams including site based staff and the Extra Care Team. You will ensure key business objectives and performance targets are met through outcome focussed service delivery that delivers value for money, whilst working collaboratively with the Corporate Director and Head of Commercial Resident Services with collective responsibility for the strategic development of service delivery in line with changing requirements within the Sector. You will be instrumental in managing the change process that will follow ensuring staff and residents are engaged and the supporting systems and processes are fully embedded.
As Head of Resident Services, key elements of your remit will be to ensure;
- Services are accessible, fit for purpose, efficient, cost effective, customer focussed and deliver outcomes for the Group, residents and partners.
- Housing stock and portfolio is managed effectively and efficiently.
- Effective management, motivation and co-ordination of staffing to optimise the use of resources.
- Effective management of the financial performance, budget and key performance indicators.
- Stakeholder engagement.
As a minimum, to be considered for this Head of Resident Services role, you MUST have the following experience and skills;
- Proven experience of successfully motivating and leading teams through periods of change within the housing sector.
- Experience of driving a commercial approach in a social context and developing partnerships that bring financial business benefit.
- Conversational Welsh language skills or willingness to achieve level one within 18 months of taking up the post (i.e. understanding of basic everyday phrases if the speaker talks slowly and clearly and is willing to help, introduce yourself and others and can ask and answer questions regarding basic information, pass on a simple message and make a straightforward request).

Salary: £49,425 per annum
Benefits: 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, social housing pension defined contribution scheme with matched contribution between 3% and 8%, and life assurance scheme.
