They are actively hiring for a Compliance Officer to support their risk, compliance and training plan in monitoring and maintaining their regulatory compliance. This is achieved through a variety of audits, reports, reviews and planning.

Your Job:

- Conduct Thematic Reviews required in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, or in light of any concerns raised by the team, management or their customers in line with FCA requirements.
- Act as the regulatory contact for the business.
- Conduct weekly compliance audits against prescribed company procedures required in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan & FCA guidelines.
- Ensuring that all Statutory Documents are issued in line with regulatory obligations.
- Responsible for the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and ensuring the monitoring activities are completed in line with the plan.
- Support line managers in the design, operation and improvement of the first line audit activities.
- Ensuring that any actions identified from the audit processes are logged and followed up.
- Become the subject matter expert to advise us on how standards and regulation apply to areas of our business and to make suggestions and recommendations for further improvement.
- Work to develop, refine and implement solutions to meet and exceed compliance requirements.
- Report on business risks and maintain a risk register, ensuring that they are able to identify risk and minimise exposure when needed.

Your Key Skills:

- Eye for detail to undertake audits.
- Comfortable working within a regulated environment, processes and procedures.
- Remains calm under pressure and adapt in an ever evolving business.
- Driven and able to work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Good communication skills: both written and verbal and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to critically analyse data and identify patterns and themes, making sense of the information quickly.
- Comfortable presenting feedback and results to both peers and managers in addition to external regulatory bodies.
- Ability to create and manage relationships across the business.
- Experience of working within a regulated industry, preferably with audit or process review experience.
