Local Organiser
- £30,200 P.A.
- Home Based in Coventry
Starting in October 2016, we will be trialling a new approach to the way we connect with members. The trials will run in the Midlands Region. Our aim is to increase members levels of engagement, interaction and participation with the BMA.
We are therefore recruiting a Local Organiser based in the Coventry. The role of the local organiser will be to plan, organise and deliver a core programme of activities and events with doctors in their workplaces to promote the BMA and the value of membership. Local organisers will also recruit and train local member volunteers to work as BMA representatives.
You will be skilled communicators and confident presenters who are able to work independently and manage a portfolio of activities. You are likely to have expertise in events planning and delivery and be able to establish/develop networks and relationships both at local level and across the BMA. An awareness of doctors’ contractual and employment arrangements plus key issues relating to these is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be given.
Home-based, the role will require extensive travel in the local area. Candidates should therefore have a clean driving licence and own a car.
