Logistics Assistant – Broxburn

Our client is an exciting, forward thinking business at the forefront of the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning marketplace. A position has become available for a Logistics Assistant to join our clients Company, based at thier Broxburn Head Office.

They are looking for an individual who can display a genuine enthusiasm and have the ability to thrive in a team based support role with a willingness and ability to learn quickly is essential as is a can do attitude for any tasks they might face.

Providing administrative support within the Logistics Department, reporting to the Operations Manager, the role with involve:

Key Responsibilities:

  • To place verified orders on manufacturing facilities under direction of Account Management
  • Create and maintain maintenance schedule for all company vehicles and instruct drivers/operators in advance of service interventions
  • Process orders onto the Microsoft Dynamics system
  • Assist in the creation of product delivery schedule and communicate to relevant stakeholders
  • Review client architect drawings and specify cabinets to suit orders
  • Process client orders through Maximo system
  • Assist in the booking in of stock for goods receipt
  • Assist in the European logistics under direction of Account Management
  • Assist in the processing of parking fines and traffic violations
  • Assist in the administration of Insurance claims
  • Update and communicate changes in the delivery schedule from manufacturing to all stakeholders
  • Completion of international freight documentation
  • Assist in the completion of H&S documentation
  • Collate delivery signed paperwork for the sales file

Skills/Experience:

Good IT and telephone skills are imperative
