Position: Financial Accountant
Location: Berkshire
Job Type: Full Time
Our company client is a leading FTSE Listed organisation who are actively looking to recruit a Financial Accountant for their highly skilled team based in Reading.
The successful candidate will join the firm's Group Accounting team who are now focusing on a Finance Transformation Project. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward thinking organization who truly invests in their people and future.
Job duties will cover:
* Production of financial information to support production of IFRS results, statutory accounts, SII results and QRTs
* Assisting with quarterly reporting and month end close process
* Being the main point of contact for external auditors
* Carrying out accounting controls and processes to ensure information produced is timely and accurate
* Supporting and reviewing work of other team members
Background and competencies:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with at least 12 months' PQE experience
* Previous experience within audit and financial controls advantageous
* Previous experience working within insurance/financial services highly preferential
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Good team player
