Scheme Cleaner – Ty Canol Court, Fairwater, Cwmbran

16 hours per week Monday to Friday – Fixed Term for 3 Months

£7.20 per hour

Located on the outskirts of Cwmbran, Ty Canol Court is a sheltered housing scheme with 25 one bedroom flats and 6 bungalows. Located on a bus route and within easy reach of all local amenities.

The scheme has a communal lounge, kitchen, guest bedroom, and laundry room. The scheme has 2 inner patio areas where tenants can place plants, shrubs and pots of flowers.

We are currently looking to recruit a self-motivated Scheme Cleaner to provide high quality cleaning and care throughout the scheme.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring that all communal rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the building.
• Developing a positive relationship with all residents, staff and other visitors to the home by becoming an integral part of the team.

  To successfully undertake this role, you will be a good communicator, have excellent customer service skills, understand our residents’ needs and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team and ideally, you will have undertaken a similar role.

This role is to work within a sheltered housing scheme and not a community however we welcome applications from community based domestic assistants for this role. All successful applicants will need to undergo a DBS check (formerly known as CRB).  An immediate start available subject to successful interview and employment checks for candidates who have a DBS/CRB which is less than 3 months old or subscribe to annual DBS subscription.
