Maintenance Assistant (2 Posts)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our high calibre and committed team, committed to providing a first class customer-orientated service to our Estate.

Principal Accountabilities

• To undertake general manual duties in conjunction with all workforce trades.
   
• To carry out elementary tasks associated with all workforce trades.
   
• Removal of rubbish from the buildings on any of the University sites.
   
• To carry out general driving duties using the works vehicle, collecting of materials and delivery to all university sites.
   
• To undertake snow clearing on all sites in adverse weather conditions.
   
• To ensure the cleanliness of the site by general litter collection, sweeping paths, steps and drives and emptying litter bins as necessary.
   
• To ensure work is carried out in accordance with all aspects of the Health & Safety at work Act 1974.
   
• To carry out instructions given by Building Services Manager or Supervisors efficiently and effectively on all university sites and premises.
