As Restaurant Shift Leader you’ll work closely with the General Manager to streamline, improve and evolve all aspects of the restaurant, to prove in the long term that success, team development and environmental consideration aren’t mutually exclusive. You’ll support the day to day running of the seafood restaurant and takeaway, ensuring that both sides of the business are running smoothly and delivering the highest quality food through exceptional customer service.

Your main responsibilities and duties will include, although not be limited to;

  • On shift leading, managing and motivating a small team
  • Training new team members
  • Reviewing and developing systems and procedures
  • Conducting daily team meetings
  • Taking a hands on approach within the restaurant as required
  • Ensuring stock orders / requisitions are carried out and ensuring the restaurant is consistently fully stocked
  • Dealing with cash & reconciling tills etc.
  • Facilitate in marketing and planning for events

To be considered for this Restaurant Shift Leader role you MUST have the following experience, skills, knowledge and attributes;

  • Strong leadership qualities with experience as a Shift Leader / Manager within the hospitality sector
  • Understand great service and the need to make customers feel special; you see customers as welcome guests, and will do almost anything to make them happy and comfortable
  • Organised and understand the importance of clear communication; you always have a pen in your pocket and a post-it note close at hand
  • Problem solving innovator; re-organising fridges, moving bins, changing recipes…whatever it takes to make the day run smoother
  • Ethical outlook with a focus on the environment, sustainability and community
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literate and numerate

Salary:                         £15,600 per annum

Additional benefits:      Cycle to work scheme, crew days out and bonus schemes.

Hours of Work:             37.5 hours per week, working on a rota within 9:00am – 10:00pm covering days, evenings, and weekends including bank holidays. Although closed on Christmas day, Boxing day and New Year’s day.
