This well established firm of accountants is looking to recruit a mixed tax assistant to join their successful and expanding tax department.
Providing both compliance and payroll services to a quality client base in Rochdale and surrounding regions, the individual will deal with a small portfolio of clients and assist the team where required.
The role in brief:
- Working with a portfolio of companies and individuals including compliance work, managing the process through to submission of tax returns and some client contact on day to day compliance matters.
- Working with a portfolio of payroll clients ensuring that payrolls are prepared, approved and submitted in a timely manner including assisting the payroll manager with work as required.
- Liaising with colleagues across the firm to provide a coordinated client service.
- Undertaking advisory work and assisting senior members of the team with ad hoc technical matters.
- Preparing fees and budgets/proposals for clients plus ensuring relevant documents and paperwork are well maintained, correct and up to date.
- Contributing to business development activities with senior team members.
About the applicant:
- Knowledge of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, CGT, IHT, national insurance contributions and payroll
- Competent IT skills including all Microsoft packages and Sage payroll
- Excellent communication skills, well presented, a team player and responsible.
