Our client is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and is on its way to becoming outstanding having achieved a good Ofsted grade in June 2015.
They are currently building their Maths teaching teams across the four campuses (Salisbury, Trowbridge, Chippenham and Lackham). Our client is looking for outstanding individuals to join them who are passionate about and Maths in Further Education and who have a track record of achieving excellence.
Our client has a number of vacancies which range from full-time, fractional and variable hour posts with flexibility around session start and end times and holiday requirements (which they will be willing to discuss with you at interview).
Maths is at the forefront of the College's journey to outstanding and you will join a highly motivated team of staff to work alongside the on-site Deputy Heads of Department to promote the core value of 'putting the learners first' in order to provide an exceptional learning experience for all students.
As the successful candidate you will have:
A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
A full teaching qualification (DTTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed) or are willing to work towards this
Teaching/training experience in maths
Experience of supporting learners through nationally accredited programmes
Experience of identifying, developing and sharing innovative and creative teaching resources
Knowledge of current maths curriculum and accreditation developments within Further Education
The ability to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.
A good level of IT literacy and willing to develop further.
Accuracy and precision in written presentation
The closing date for this role is midday on Monday 29th August however they will be available to hold telephone and face to face interviews on 19th August.
