We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Production Planner, reporting to the Planning Manager to coordinate production scheduling, ensuring compliance to customer delivery deadlines, working across production teams and representing the planning team at managerial level.
You will have a full awareness of production status at all times across all manufacturing areas, will maintain communications with Outworkers, Customer Service and Operations to react and be proactive in changes to production and will provide essential support to the Planning Manager and Operations Management Teams. Further tasks will include attending daily production related meetings, ensuring there are Standard Operating procedures in place for the role, ensuring departmental compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental procedures, including any HS&E concerns within documented time briefings and deputising for the Planning Manager as required.
We're looking for someone who is educated to GCSE level or equivalent as a minimum and who has experience of working in a fast paced moving environment. Knowledge of Pre-press, paper and print gravure, web offset, sheet-fed printing and print finishing is essential combined with a good knowledge of the UK Print Industry and experience of working within a similar role at supervisory level. Also essential is experience of using production planning schedules, computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite and high levels of professionalism and commitment. Effective communication skills are vital as well as the ability to provide out of hours support as required and to work weekends as part of a weekend cover rota.
