Class 1 / Class 2 Drivers

Due to a period of growth we are currently looking to employee additional Class 1 / Class 2 Drivers - HGV / Low - Loader / Articulated Tipper and HIAB.

You will be required to drive the Company's HGV's / Low-Loader / Articulated Tippers and other vehicles / machines / plant where licensed, authorised and instructed to do so.

Class 1 - Deliver and move heavy plant equipment around the North West. You will be required to maintain and promote excellent customer service, professionally, safely and within agreed service level parameters.

You will need to meet the below criteria to be considered for the vacancy:

• HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (category CE)
• Valid Drivers CPC Card and Digital Tachogragh Card
• At least 6 months on road driving experience in the last 2 years

It would be advantageous to have additional requirements but not essential:

• Previous Plant experience
• Step frame or Low Loader Experience
• H.I.A.B / Crane Licence
• FLT Licence

Perform driving duties in connection with the delivery and/or collection of company and /or client materials and equipment, or on client day-work contracts.

Duties will also include any assistance that may reasonably be required by the company from time to time, and may not be driving related.

The post holder is responsible to the Plant & Contracts Manager for any vehicle or equipment allocated for the purposes of carrying out their role. This involves working stand-alone or as part of a small team and includes duties connected with driving to and from a variety of locations/sites.

Class 2 - Drive the Company's HGV's / Articulated Tippers and other vehicles (road sweeper) / machines / plant where licensed, authorised and instructed to do so.

Perform driving duties in connection with the delivery and/or collection of company and / or client materials and equipment, or on client day-work contracts.

Duties will also include any assistance that may reasonably be required by the company from time to time, and may not be driving related.

The post holder is responsible to the Quarry Manager for any vehicle or equipment allocated for the purposes of carrying out their role. This involves working as part of a small team and includes duties connected with driving to and from a variety of locations/sites.

• HGV Class 2 driving entitlement

BASIC CONDITITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pay Rate: £9.00 - £11.00 per hour Including discretionary bonus plus comprehensive benefits package. (Rate dependant on licence type held)
Working Hours / Days: Basic 42.5 hours Monday to Friday, Saturdays may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
Start and End Times: These are seasonal; summer hours are between 7am and 6pm, winter hours are between 7am and 5pm.
