We offer expert landlord & tenant and debt recovery services for individuals, businesses and institutions of all sizes. We deal with all aspects of landlord & tenant and debt litigation, from service of notices and issuing of letters before action, through to court proceedings and enforcement, if required.

In addition we offer a nationwide advocacy service for blue chip clients and volume litigation solicitors at agency hearings in every county court throughout England and Wales. We have specialist advocates throughout the country ready to attend hearings nationwide, at short notice.

We also extend this service to all our fellow professionals and litigants in person in county courts and tribunals. The successful applicant will have experience of landlord & tenant litigation, including experience of advocacy. Some experience of debt litigation is desirable. It is important that you are able to manage your own caseload and to develop strong working relationships within the team and with their instructing clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

- Conduct of a full caseload of defended landlord & tenant and debt litigation matters
- Act as the principal day to day contact between clients and the company
- Ensure that clients are provided with up to date and accurate reports of all of their cases and appropriate advice at each stage of proceedings
- Instruction of advocates to attend at hearings on behalf of clients, ensuring that they are fully briefed
- Attendance at hearings as an advocate
- Providing monthly reports of all cases handled by the team

Skills & Experience Required will include:

- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of landlord & tenant litigation
- Knowledge and experience of debt litigation
- Ability to critically analyse and interpret diverse information
- Ability to advise clients of the legal options available to them and to provide clear and substantiated recommendations
- Excellent standard of written English, including grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Ability to interact positively with clients, colleagues and the general public
- Good presentation and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with proficient keyboard skills and an ability to use office equipment as required
- Proactive outlook in the course of work, with an ability to make recommendations as to optimum processes, procedures and practice
- Good commercial understanding, with ambition to build the reputation and work of the department
