Toys R Us has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Warehouse Team Member to join the team on a permanent basis in Coventry. We are offering a competitive salary of £8.73 per hour.

We are looking to recruit Senior Warehouse Team Members to join the team at our National Distribution Centre and e-Fulfilment Centre, close to junction 2 of the M6. These Senior Warehouse Team Member roles are key to the future growth and development of our operations and offer fantastic career opportunities.

The Senior Warehouse Team Member responsibilities:

- Manage your own and your team members’ time effectively and help prioritise workloads

- Instil a sense of urgency and accountability in others in order to achieve set objectives

- Delegate and follow up on day to day tasks

- Communicate clear performance expectations

- Ensure standards are met, maintained and improved upon

- Ensure processes are followed and consider improvements to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Provide regular feedback, coaching & guidance, acknowledging good performance as appropriate.

- Deliver on team commitments. Develop good working relationships and build partnerships across teams. Recognise and resolve potential issues and conflicting objectives.

- Share information and updates on a timely basis. Lead meetings with small groups. Listen to your team’s responses

- Be willing to extend working hours in line with operational requirements, sometimes at short notice. Be flexible and adjust working hours / shifts to support business need especially during season.

Key skills and experience needed to become our Senior Warehouse Team Member:

- Able to manage a small team, develop detailed knowledge of their area and have an understanding of how their team’s efforts combine with those of the rest of the overall team

- Able to guide and motivate team by setting an example in terms of time and attendance, flexibility, commitment, housekeeping and operational accuracy

- Keen to foster greater engagement and encourage team spirit, bringing new ideas to the table

- Keen to develop and progress within a dynamic environment.
