A Teacher of Geography is required for an all through school in Bedfordshire, who are part of a group of nationwide schools that are progressive and innovative in the way that they teach, whilst always having the student's interests at the centre of all that they do. Their main goal is to enhance children's learning by establishing a supportive school. The position is permanent form September 2016.

This purpose built through school is situated in a semi-rural location on the outskirts Bedfordshire. Previously formed of two schools, they now welcome around 160 pupils. About a quarter of the pupils are identified as gifted and talented, and all pupils are given spiritual, moral, social and cultural development to help them achieve excellence.

They are a thriving and successful school, with a clear vision, and an outstanding quality of education. The curriculum, teaching and assessment are excellent. All pupils make at least good and some make exceptional progress. Staff are provided with a well-resourced classroom and all the support needed for both the pupils' progression, but also for their own career progression.

Relationships are excellent between teachers and the pupils. The teaching has a strong influence on enabling pupils to think and learn independently which has a positive influence on their progress and achievement.

  • A competitive salary
