Direct Sales Manager - Venue Fundraising

A Direct Sales Manager is sought by this established fundraising company across Wales and the West.

Formed in 1995, the company have since been providing services to household name charities across the UK. Their Sales Representatives work in pre-booked, high-footfall private venues & events, promoting a designated charity.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this Direct Sales Manager role forms a key part of the Sales Management team.

Leading from the front, the Direct Sales Manager will raise funds to achieve personal targets and ably demonstrate best practice to their team. The role has accountability for the sales performance of a team of around 8-12 Sales Representatives (Fundraisers) dispersed across a defined geographical area.

TITLE: Direct Sales Manager
LOCATION: Wales and the West (Reading, Cardiff, Bristol, Newport, Oxford)
SALARY: Basic annual salary is £23,460 and OTE will be between £40 & £50k
HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week plus travel
TRAVEL: Is required on a regular basis with occasional overnight stays

The key purpose of the Direct Sales Manager role:
- Input into area strategy
- Line Management of Sales Representatives / Fundraisers (circa 8-12), with responsibility for the area's sales performance
- Management of all quality measures including complaints
- Increase performance through positive coaching in the most effective and professional way

The ideal Direct Sales Manager will possess:
- Strong coaching skills
- The ability to successfully raise funds and lead from the front
- Experience of a face-to-face sales environment
- Demonstrable success in the delivery of managing, motivating, coaching and developing a team of sales people
- A strong team-player mentality
- Self-motivation and drive - the ability to deliver, but not to the detriment of colleagues or the company
- Integrity in all situations
- A focus on prioritising delivery of objectives and driving performance
- Excellent communication skills
- Full current driving licence and own vehicle
