This company is currently recruiting for an Experienced Senior Production Manager for one of their major clients based in Wrexham, North Wales. You will be responsible for around 300 people and need to be well experienced in H&S, Quality, Training, KPI management.
Main Purposes of the Job:
Ensure Department runs to plan and within targeted levels of health & safety; food safety; quality and cost, delivering customers' products to quality, time and price requirements
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinating interfaces with other departments to ensure plan is delivered on time and in full.
- Rota weekend responsibility for whole factory
- Identifying training needs and working with Training Officer to ensure these are met
- Analyse production data (e.g. efficiencies, productivity, waste & energy usage, etc.) and develop and implement appropriate improvements.
- Drive departmental quality, health & safety, GMP, efficiencies and productivity
- Ensure departmental requirements are delivered to achieve successful product launches by working closely with other departments.
- Co-ordination and hosting of visits to department by Customers, Auditors, regulatory bodies, etc.
- Ensure effective communication to and from employees in Department, keeping the Factory Manager and others fully informed of relevant issues
- Ensure adherence to all departmental and Company policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years management experience in a chilled food manufacturing environment
- Ideally higher level food and/or manufacturing qualification
Hours of work: 7 day shift pattern (4 on 4) off 7am - 7pm
