Stores Person / Maintenance Operative, Salary: up to £17,472, Based; Marchwood, Southampton

We have an opportunity for a Stores Person / Maintenance Operative to join the market leading provider of Portable cabins, Secure Storage Solutions, Modular buildings and associated products. The depot operation stores and prepares the units ready for hire or sale, refurbishing and modifying as required. The Stores Person assists with goods receiving, safe storage and issuing of materials to end users and support with preparation and refurbishment of units. The ideal candidate will have previous Stores / Stock Controller experience and general maintenance skills / experience.

Stores Person / Maintenance Operative Main Tasks:

• All aspects of stock management including (Ordering via computer, Stock-taking, Stock rotation, Order tracking, Stock replenishment, Problem solving, Liaising with suppliers and fellow operatives)
• General maintenance tasks to timber, plastic and steel portable accommodation units, portable toilets etc
• Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally.
• Painting exterior of units with spray equipment, roller or brush.
• The fitting and removal of partitions & other fittings.
• Some electrical work, some plumbing, some joinery and flooring work.
• Loading of a range of furniture into the cabins and removing on completion of hire.
• Some working at height.
• Occasional duties as fork lift operator (where relevant with training and suitable qualifications).
