Business Development Executive - OTE £35,000

Basic salary of £22-25k with OTE of £32-35k uncapped.

This company connects innovative teachers with innovative suppliers through unique speed dating events. Your chief role will involve selling regional events to groups of schools, hunting new prospective school groups throughout the UK, as well as working with an already established client base.

In 2015-16 the company ran 62 speed dates. They are targeting 100+ for the 2016-17 academic year.

The role will be varied but will include:

- Market researching suitable school groups for event opportunities.
- Pitching to school leaders via email, phone, face to face the benefits of booking an event.
- Post-event follow up calls and emails to secure a re-booking.
- Nurturing relationships with your school contacts throughout the year.
- Manage diary and pipeline of prospects using the CRM database.
- Producing daily/weekly reports of progress.
- Achieve monthly event bookings targets.

Personal specification:

- Successful track record in sales.
- Hard working, tenacious and hungry to succeed.
- Must have a 'can do' attitude.
- Must hold a valid driving licence.
- Confident, with the ability to use tact.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding writing skills (emails, letters, etc).
- Target driven, organised and customer focused.
- Computer literate with experience in using a CRM and spreadsheets.
- Driven with a positive outlook.
- Adaptable to change.

No experience in the education industry is required as full client and event training will be provided. You will be answerable to the Events Manager.
