Our client administers the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and provide pensions to over 1.5 million people. With a strong heritage as the provider of a broad portfolio of administration services, their deep public and private sector knowledge and experience means they are a unique provider in the field.

They are now looking to appoint enthusiastic Systems Service Desk Analysts to join them in Liverpool on a temporary basis until the end of September 2016.

The Service Desk will be supporting circa. 500 internal users across 4 UK sites, additionally they also currently support 250 employers; receiving and managing new Interface files and you will be required to log Incidents and Requests largely related to their Pensions Administration system.

The primary responsibilities of the role will be to ensure that all Incidents and requests received via Phone, Email or in Person are logged accurately on our service management tool, to work as part of the Systems Support Service Desk Team you will need to be able to deliver excellent systems support with outstanding customer service and satisfaction to our internal staff and external employers.

You will ensure that all work items are accurately logged and updated to completion or to relevant third party, be required to check and validate figures, data & information for accuracy and comprehensiveness and carry out ad-hoc activities as determined by Systems Team Service Desk Manager.

The successful candidate will be qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above, have experience in a pensions/financial services environment, experience of working on a Service Desk Working to SLAs and experience of working in an ITIL led environment.

With strong analytical, numerical and logic skills, you will also possess strong problem solving/process improvement skills and will demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding Customer Service. Strong MS office skills, especially with Excel and Access, are also important.

Ideally, you will have awareness of PSCPS and or UK Public Sector Pensions and Pensioner Payroll and experience of Pension Administration Systems (ideally Compendia).
