Our Client is a national voluntary origination providing a range of services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or physical disabilities. Working throughout England and Wales, they support more than 2000 people at any one time and as they are a non-for-profit organisation it means that their money is put back into giving each person they support the best life possible.

They currently have an opportunity for a Senior Area Manager to join their team, based in Newcastle, covering their North East Division to be responsible for the strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of high quality support services.

You will be personally accountable for the work within your area, to include managing budgets, ensuring money is used responsibly and financial procedures are in place, whilst adhering to legal and external regulations at all times. Reporting to the Divisional Director, you will develop, manage and recruit your team, providing support, whilst working in a way in which is central to the values and culture of the company. Naturally, you will have the ability to ensure good practice in supporting their people and be confident to challenge poor practice, working positively with the families of the people they support. You will be required to lead some key strategies across the North East Division.

You will have experience with supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health and complex needs within supported living and domiciliary care. An effective communicator with the ability to solve problems and the confidence to make decisions, you will have excellent planning and management knowledge with sound IT and business administration skills.
