Care Service Manager - Edinburgh - GBP35-39k plus car (contract 1 year)

Our quality focused client based in Scotland is now looking for an experienced Care Service Manager who has a full clean driving licence and who is qualified to SVQ level 8 or equivalent. This exciting opportunity is a one year contract working with a highly respected expanding quality focused care provider who deliver excellent care services to older people in their own homes, residential and extra care living etc.

Ideally you will have already achieved your SVQ level 8 or equivalent, come from an Operations Manager role within older peoples care services, or from a Social Worker background with good experience of older people services. This position is to be based in the Edinburgh office and you will be covering an area to include Fife, and Perth. You will be very well supported throughout and receive excellent training.

Our client is looking for a cheerful, professional, knowledgeable and experienced senior manager who has strong leadership skills, who works to deadlines and budgets and who is able to offer excellent support to operational managers and staff within the above areas ensuring each service is fully compliant.

Your role includes strategic planning, expanding the services, recruitment and conducting staff supervisions, working closely with Social work teams, regulatory bodies, funding partners, external agencies, NHS, external auditors, voluntary agencies, Care inspectorate and Scottish Social Services.

You will need excellent business development experience and good business acumen, have excellent IT skills, be passionate about high quality care and raise awareness and the profile of your employer by building excellent relationships throughout the area. You will need a positive and enthusiastic approach with a motivated and encouraging attitude and be able to recognise training needs in your staff, ensuring members of your team receive support and personal development.
