Our client is looking for enthusiastic and engaging Motorcycle and/or Motor Vehicle Maintenance Instructors to deliver accredited technical training programmes at their centre in Blackpool to young learners.

The role:

As a Motorcycle or Motor Vehicle Maintenance Instructor you will deliver accredited motor vehicle courses and deliver vocational projects to a diverse range of young people. Your remit will also include:

  • The planning and delivery of training/ lessons
  • Supporting other tutors as and when required
  • Supervising and assisting in the pastoral care of students
  • General upkeep of the workshop areas and premises

The position requires you to work term time only plus two weeks, which equates to very generous allowance of time off.

What you need:

  • Technical background in motorcycle and/or motor vehicle repair and maintenance essential
  • Teaching qualification PTTLS or AET Level 3 or above is advantageous – applicants without these qualifications must be willing to conduct study to gain relevant qualifications
  • Ideally hold a related Level 3 or above qualification, however, a Level 2 with the relevant experience will be considered
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) & IT systems
  • Motivated, patient, enthusiastic, confident and approachable individual
  • Having the ability to adapt to changing situations
