Join us as an Advocate and you could soon be playing a key role in providing an invaluable programme of education for vulnerable young people with challenging behaviours.

Catch22 include provides an alternative to mainstream schooling for young people aged 5 to 18    years old where multiple barriers to learning have previously affected engagement and access to education.

The role of Advocate is to assist the Curriculum and Learning Lead in managing the behaviour 1-2-1 work and family work for your specific key stage (Primary or Secondary) students with complex needs, ensuring that the education provision is of a high quality and that the students are motivated and challenged. You will help deliver across a range of subjects in both group and 1-2-1.

You will effectively: have a thorough understanding of behaviour management for your specified Key Stage range and possess the skills and attributes to lead the team and implement de-escalation strategies; work with learners in group and 1-2-1 when required and work with learners’ parents.

You must be well organised, with the ability to schedule and review work effectively; engage young people; balance conflicting demands; have a flair for coordinating, enthusing and motivating colleagues and working both independently and as part of a team; and be proficient with IT and hold a current/clean driving license.

Catch22 is a forward looking social business; a not-for-profit business with a social mission. We have been at the heart of public service delivery for over 200 years, designing and delivering services that transform disadvantaged lives and build stronger communities.

In 2014/15, we worked with over 33,000 people across every stage of the social welfare cycle. Our reach gives us unique insight into the challenges facing disadvantaged people today.
