Ambitious, qualified and experienced Finance Manager required for immediate start to set up the Accounting Function (c. £20-30m) for a diverse group of companies based in Manchester.  The fast expanding areas of operation include Ecommerce, Commercial & Residential property, Seed Funding Start-ups, Leisure / Entertainment, Product development and IT development.

As a Finance Manager your duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Produce detailed periodic (or as required) management accounts.
  • Produce Periodic Cash Flow, P&L, Liabilities (CT + VAT) Reports and Projections.
  • Proactively manage company cash flow with regards to income and expenditure forecasts.
  • Manage various company bank payments and reconcile weekly or monthly as required.
  • Produce and submit annual accounts to the company accountants.
  • Manage Credit Control – outstanding payments and enforcement.
  • Manage Payroll – Calculate and administer weekly or monthly payroll and journals.
  • Manage Expenses – Monitor, report and collate all expenses and mileage claims.
  • Monitor performance and renewal of contractors' contracts
  • Manage Sales & Purchase Ledger (invoices, reconciliation, queries, updating, payments, POs etc).
  • Monitor current government legislation and report to Company Directors.
  • Advise and assist the Board with guidelines and ideas to create stability and growth.
  • Provide administrative assistance if required.

An ideal Finance Manager will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA, ACA
  • Strong organisational and management skills
  • Able to communicate at all levels, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines
  • Strong Excel and Accounting software skills
  • Enthusiastic individual

Ideally you are a qualified and experienced accountant with team development and management experience.  This is largely an autonomous role where you will be responsible to ensure that all legal and financial obligations are identified, planned and met whilst retaining the capacity to meet day to day business challenges as well as those raised by Brexit.

In return for this you will receive a salary of £40,000 - 45,000 per annum dependent on experience.
