Job Role:
Due to further expansion, a vacancy has arisen for a first class technician based at our Client's Manchester office. The role is varied and will require help desk support, on-site support as well as pre and post-sale support.
If you have been working on desktops for the past few years, they're sorry, but you are not what they're looking for. They want first class server technicians that know the difference between DNS and DHCP, know their default gateways from their default profile.
* As no relocation fees will be provided, they can only accept applications from candidates eligible to live and work in the UK.
Overview
You will need a good, if not excellent, understanding of server configuration. If you have experience of Exchange 2010 - 2016 and / or SQL or SharePoint then come and talk to them. They make extensive use of VMWare in their blade centres as well as on-site client servers so VMware experience will also be advantageous.
The work will not always be on servers though. You will need to be able to deal with client calls on a variety of IT related items as well. This includes Office 365, LAN's, WAN's, VPN's VLAN's and everything that connects to them.
The hours are 9-5:30 with an hour for lunch and the position has a workplace pension, 30 days paid holiday inclusive of bank holidays, as well as additional payments for out of hours support work.
You will need you own car and they pay the full HMRC rates for business travel.

Founded in 2002 they have grown from strength to strength and have offices in Manchester, Leicester and Hatfield. With 21 existing employees, 3 of which are non-technical roles, the Company is keen to re-inforce the importance they place on good quality technicians.
They have a full training plan including gaining or renewing any existing MSCE or MCSA certifications. They are also looking for CCNA certified people as well.
Through their two datacentres they provide hosting facilitates for their clients. These purpose built centres also require the correct level of expertise to maintain and manage them.
