Due to the continued growth of our business an exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our established team in Milton Keynes.

This is a full-time role and we have both permanent and Temp to perm opportunities.


The Experienced Payroll Officer role includes:

  • Collaborate with clients over matters relating to the preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Develop positive working relationships with the aim of continuously improving service delivery.
  • Collection and collation of authorised data from the client relating to payroll processing
  • Input of payroll data to pay clients via electronic upload and manual input
  • Calculation and processing of all statutory information relating to clients members of staff
  • Check and process approved adjustments to employee details for each payroll e.g. new employees, rate changes, tax code changes.  Produce validation reports.
  • Investigate any queries resulting from the validation reports produced from each payroll, take appropriate action with agreed time scales.  Ensure that errors are minimised.
  • Reconciliation of Year End information each period
  • Processing and dispatch of all Year End reporting
  • Assist clients in understanding the quality of data instruction needed to ensure that a high quality service output is achieved.
  • Ensure that all payrolls are produced in accordance with agreed procedures, and working to payroll performance indicators. As required actively participate in activities designed to improve the quality of service performance.
 
The successful Experienced Payroll Officer will have the following skills & experience:
  • This is a pressurised role that would suit a dynamic individual.
  • Who has strong administration skill.
  • Preferably with an element of payroll experience.
  • Someone who would like to progress their career in payroll.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in utilising Microsoft Word and Excel packages.

In return you will receive a starting salary of up to £19.000 plus 20 days holiday, Contributory pension scheme 3%, Life assurance.
