As a Sheltered Housing Officer you will have excellent communication and
administration skills, be self-motivated and able to work alone and under pressure. You will need excellent people skills and a flexible and professional approach. Working together with other teams of professionals providing support and advice to Older People, the role is to promote and encourage the independence of tenants within the Sheltered Housing schemes and in the wider community.
The work is varied and interesting. You will have responsibility for an individual scheme but will also provide absence cover for other schemes. You will be responsible for maintaining thorough and accurate records for each tenant including Individual Support Plans and providing performance data and information. The service is accredited to the Code of Practice for Supported Housing and all Officers are responsible for the scheme portfolios and ensuring the service is delivered to the highest standard. You will ensure the environment conforms to health and safety standards liaising with contractors, repairs and external agencies, keeping up-to- date risk assessments and records. You will offer a flexible approach to provide a quality service across the borough.
We have one full time post and one part time (18.5 hours).
