Job Title: Production / Operations Director

Location: West Midlands and Estonia

Salary: €50-80K basic salary depending on experience + Car, Housing and excellent benefits

Trendsetter Home Furnishings is a privately owned, fourth generation family business with over 100 years of heritage. They manufacture and distribute a broad range of premium own label and branded duvets, pillows and related bedding products to a diverse range of global customers including; 4* & 5* hotel chains, independent retailers, John Lewis, Harrods & Next.

We are looking for a dynamic Production / Operations Director to head up the facility and play a key role as part of the senior management team. It is important that as well as a focus on advanced engineering and lean manufacturing, this person must be a good leader of people capable of inspiring and developing individuals

A large part of the company’s success and reputation as an innovator has come from the growth of their manufacturing facility in Estonia. Every week the facility produces over 80,000 products and production capabilities have grown thanks to the introduction of some innovative technology.

Production / Operations Director - Key responsibilities:

- Support turnover/profit growth by establishing and delivery of an annual production strategy based on world class manufacturing principles

- Develop/improve strategic production development/QC plans to ensure the optimisation of manufacturing in the supply chain and delivering exceptional customer service.

- Participate fully as part of the senior management team and have input into the company’s long term business plans.

Production / Operations Director - Experience required:

The ideal person will have a proven track record in production, operations or general management within a relevant advanced manufacturing environment. You will have a strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and be able to demonstrate leadership of at least one major CAPEX project through to implementation.

You will ideally have a desire to work in an organisation that embraces engineering and new technologies and be passionate about the quality of the product.

A flexible outlook to working in Estonia is required, with some regular travel to the UK for senior management meetings. You must possess a proficient working knowledge of the English language, the language used universally across the business.
