Our client is looking for a Freelance Building / Maintenance Surveyor / Project Manager to cover approximately 2-3 days per week working from their remote office in Manchester.

Our client has maintenance and project management responsibility for multi-site retail and leisure sector client properties based all around the UK. The freelance Surveyor is required to assist the Associate Director based in their Manchester office with building surveying and project management works and will be expected to cover the M62 corridor up to and including Scotland.

Responsibilities/ Objectives:

• Estate management
• General Building Surveying
• Project Management of Minor Works Projects
• Condition Surveys
• Asbestos Management
• Assist the Associate Director with a variety of Building Surveying and project management duties including carrying out inspections and surveys both pre and post completion of works and produce survey and inspection reports where required and assist surveyors and project managers with major projects including specification writing, CAD drawings etc.
• Source suitable contractors for minor works. Carry out competitive tendering exercise as appropriate.
• Liaise with external consultants, landlords, etc. in respect of building regulations, licenses, etc.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required
• CAD would be desirable
