Our client is a leading, independent public sector agency specialising in the betting industry and associated activities.

Great Britain’s gambling industry is in a constant state of flux, fuelled by shifting consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of technology. Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, our client needs you to drive the change needed to ensure that they can meet the growing complexity of the market and their developing regulatory remit within the National Lottery.

Due to some internal moves, an opportunity has now arisen for an ambitious National Lottery Game Changer / Licensing Analyst to help our client achieve this – and enjoy the challenge of this hugely diverse role.

Joining our client’s National Lottery specialist team, you will manage the end-to-end process of game applications and other proposals. This will include assessing key regulatory risks and issues, liaising with the Operator to secure relevant information, seeking the views of colleagues across the organisation and preparing recommendations on licence applications for Commissioners to consider.

To be considered, you will need:

- A policy and/or compliance background
- The proven ability to understand complex issues, analyse information and interpret evidence to formulate pragmatic and well-reasoned proposals

Candidates with regulatory experience will be of particular interest.

As a National Lottery Game Changer / Licensing Analyst, first-rate communication, presentation and report writing skills are also essential, along with the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise tasks and manage your own time effectively.

Equally importantly, you must bring a flexible approach and a willingness to work in different ways. For example, you may take the lead in some projects but have a supporting role in others - and likewise may chair some meetings whilst supporting and contributing to others.
