A fantastic opportunity for a teacher of English in a strong department within a secondary school in Blackpool has arisen to cover a maternity from January 2017. The English Department provides a stimulating, well-balanced and inclusive curriculum which is designed to allow all pupils to maximise their potential. Lessons involve a wide variety of learning styles employed by a highly professional and hard-working team of teachers.

During Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four students study a range of plays, novels, poetry, non-fiction and media texts and take part in many Speaking and Listening activities. Progress of students is closely monitored and assessed to ensure that all pupils achieve their potential.

The Department has a wide range of excellent modern resources which it utilises to make English an exciting and enjoyable experience. We recognise the importance of literacy to all our pupils and we make it our goal to make sure that all our pupils are given the chance to succeed. The post will be teaching KS3 and GCSE classes. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher than can inspire and engage.

The position is to commence in January 2017 and the school are in a position to look at both newly qualified and experienced teachers. Interviews will take place towards the middel of October.
