The successful applicants will support pupils on an individual and small group basis, mainly across Key Stage 3 & 4. Psychology graduates with a focus on Educational Psychology would be perfect for such a position.

The ideal candidate will be a positive graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree and ideally with previous and recent experience working with students either in a volunteer or paid role. We want to meet graduates who can use their excellent communication skills to convey subject knowledge in a straightforward and easily accessible way. You should be able to increase the performance of students by inspiring them with your own love for learning and education. You will have an eagerness to contribute to after school activities and brilliant relationship building abilities. Someone with a positive attitude, good work ethic and a genuine interest in SEN / Special Needs would be ideal.

In this exciting Student Support Officer position you will be supporting teaching and learning across the school (KS3 & 4), with an opportunity for 1 position to support those in KS5 also. You will be tasked with supporting a range of pupils who have various needs, guiding pupils through the academic and social elements of school life, monitoring their progress, assisting with individualised activities and reporting to the SENCO. These positions would be the perfect opportunity and experience for an aspiring Educational Psychologist, giving you a chance to absorb broad knowledge of special needs within education.
