Financial Audit Team Leader – up to 2 posts (based in our North Wales team)

The Wales Audit Office, a statutory corporation responsible for providing staff and other resources to the Auditor General for Wales, would welcome applications from suitably experienced CCAB qualified individuals to join its financial audit team.

We are looking to recruit a Financial Audit Team Leader to join our leadership team.  The successful candidate will have responsibility for teams in the delivery of our external financial audit work. Whilst you will predominantly be based at one or two locations, our diverse work covers audits at a wide variety of local government, NHS and central government sites. The role will involve working as part of a team and liaising with client and other specialist staff to provide high quality services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CCAB qualified individual to our join our dynamic and high performing team. Whilst desirable, previous audit experience is not essential as a full package of support will be provided to help you quickly get to grips with our varied, interesting and challenging work.

The Financial Audit Team Leader reports to the Financial Audit Manager.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

The salary range for the role is £39,040 to £44,439 (please note that salary starting point will be based on qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience).  In addition subject to eligibility a travel allowance is available.
