Finance Assistant

Salary: £16,000

Hours: Full time - 40 hrs/wk

Fixed Term contract: 12 months starting in September 2016

Contact is a leading national contemporary theatre and arts organisation based in Manchester, with young people at the heart of everything we do. We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders, artists and audiences, redefining theatre in the process. We produce and present a professional programme of outstanding performances, events and festivals in our building, surprising places and virtual spaces, for a young and highly diverse audience.

This is an exciting time for Contact, with plans for a £6.587m capital re-development under way, which will secure the future of Contact’s vital work with young people across Greater Manchester for the next 20 years.

As Finance Assistant at Contact you will be responsible for purchase ledger processing, petty cash and weekly and monthly payroll.  Full training will be provided in all aspects of the role and no prior experience is necessary.

You will be a self-starter with good communication skills and strong numerical and Excel skills.   This is an excellent opportunity for anyone at the start of their finance career to learn and develop their skills.
