Midland Steel Traders Limited

We require an experienced Cat C (Class 2) HGV driver, lorry mounted crane/Hiab operator for delivery, collection and fitting of heavy plant machinery, tracks, buckets and spares at various sites and quarries across the UK.

Ideally previous experience in the operation of heavy plant machinery is preferred, as is a positive can do attitude with a mechanical aptitude/background. The operation of portable hydraulic presses, generators, compressors, associated hand tools and oxy,acetylene cutting equipment will be part of the role. Specific training in particular areas will be given to the right candidate.

The successful applicant will operate and comply with all company, site and quarry health and safety rules, procedures and policies.

Must be willing to work over time as required and be prepared for overnight stays in sleeper cabs if necessary.

Applicants must hold:

• Current HGV Cat C (Class 2) licence - No more than 3 penalty points
• Current Hiab/Lorry loading crane license/certification
• Full drivers CPC
• Preferred - However company will assist in obtaining:
• Drivers digital tachograph card, Current site safety passport, Counter balance for truck license.
